This salve is great for all those bumps, scrapes, bites, burns, and bruises. All plant ingredients were either wild crafted or grown at home in my garden. It is a great addition to your first aid kit, or to throw in your kid's backpack to take to school. ***includes sunflower and olive oils as well as candelilla wax***

Here is a little bit about the ingredients:

Plantain (Plantago Lanceolata)~ The astringent, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect of the plant makes it helpful in treating minor wounds, cuts, and scrapes. It can be applied directly to damaged skin in order to halt bleeding, speed up healing, stop itching and alleviate pain. It is considered useful in treating snake and insects bites and stinging nettle rash. In addition, the herb has been used to treat eczema, psoriasis and first degree burns.
 
St. John's Wort (Hypericum Perforatum)~ St. John’s wort has been reported to have antiviral and antibacterial properties. Its anti-inflammatory properties make it useful in healing wounds and burns.

Calendula (Calendula Officinalis)~Calendula is a flower commonly used as an herbal treatment for the relief of skin disorders. It is used to heal minor burns, including sunburns, and it is a traditional herbal remedy for the treatment of rashes, including diaper rash. This herb has also been used to treat systemic skin problems such as dermatitis, eczema, acne and psoriasis.
 
Tea Tree Essential Oil~ As an antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic, tea tree essential oil helps to alleviate itching and control redness. It also helps to prevent inflammation, infection and scarring.
 
Vitamin E Oil (Vegan)~ Skin that is slow to heal can benefit from vitamin E – both in the diet and applied topically. This is because free radicals can prevent the healing of damaged tissue.
